Yoka Ogawa (小川桜花) is a singer, dancer, actress, and model under LDH. She is a member of the girl group Girls2 and a former member of the temporary group magical2. She shares her name and appearance with her GaruGaku. counterpart, Yoka.
Biography[]
Yoka was born on April 2, 2004 in Miyazaki Prefecture. She is the oldest of her parents' six children and has four little sisters and one little brother. She is a graduate of EXPG Miyazaki.
Etymology[]
Yoka (桜花) uses the kanji 桜 (Sakura; Cherry Blossom) and 花 (Hana; Flower).
Ogawa (小川) uses the kanji 小 (Ko; Small) and 川 (Kawa; River).
Career[]
2011-2017: Girls Fes Narumiya Cinderella, Modeling, EXPG, KIZZY[]
Amongst the members of Girls2, Yoka had been under EXPG the longest, as there are images of her at EXPG dating from as early as 2011. She was known to have appeared at the EXPG Christmas parties, EX Shows, and regular classes. Her last known activity at EXPG was on July 25, 2017.
Yoka formerly participated in Girls Fes Narumiya Cinderella in 2016. She started her blog at Girl Fes Narumiya Cinderella on January 12, 2016, when she was an 11-year-old 5th grader. Her last blog was written on March 22, 2016.
She featured in EARTH MAGIC's 1st Mook (Magazine + Book) publication in 2012. In 2013, she was in Nico Puchi x Nationwide Photo Studio 2nd round Cinderella Audition Grand Prix. In the following year, she was in Nico Puchi x Nationwide Photo Studio again for the 3rd round Cinderella Audition Puchi Collection Prize. That same year, she was IGNI's first image model of 2015 by advancing to the final audition.
In 2013, she appeared in the TOKYO TOP KIDS COLLECTION stage. Then from 2013 until 2014, she appeared in Cinderella Audition Special Stage Runway.
In 2014, she was a back-up dancer in SEAGAIA MUSIC RESORT 2014. In that same year, she was a back-up dancer in EXILE TRIBE PERFECT YEAR LIVE TOUR TOWER OF WISH 2014 ～THE REVOLUTION～. Then in 2015, she was a back-up dancer in EXILE LIVE TOUR 2015 AMAZING WORLD. Yoka had also appeared in the MV for GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE's "Y.M.C.A.".
In 2014, Yoka was an extra dancer for the mountain folk in the movie Shinwa Kids. Then in 2015, she appeared on FNS 27 Hours TV Chibikko Honki Dance Championship as a Miyazaki representative.
Yoka also joined KIZZY (Momoka, Kurea, and Kira were also members) in 2017 as one of it's starting line-up members but left afterwards.
2018-2019: Debut with Magical x Heroine MagimajoPures!, magical2[]
Yoka was announced to be part of the main cast for Magical x Heroine MagimajoPures! a while after the show began to air as her character was a villain-turned-protagonist. Due to being a main cast member, she guested on children's shows such as Oha Suta.
Aside from acting in the show, Yoka was a member of the idol unit they released through the series called magical2. The group's activities lasted for a year until the end of the series.
2019: Debut with Girls2[]
On March 29th, 2019, it was announced that Yoka became a member of the new unit "Girls2" formed from the Girls x Heroine franchise, a combination unit between 'miracle2', 'magical2' and 'mirage2'. Their debut took place on June 26 with the release "Daijoubu" which was the opening theme for the third season of the Girls x Heroine franchise, Secret x Warrior Phantomirage!.
Under the group, Yoka and her teammates carried out more activities, such as modeling for several popular brands and having their own mini anime through Oha Suta. Yoka was also an Oha Girl along with the other members of the group. She was the Friday Oha Girl for the academic year of 2019-2020, but this was changed to Monday from 2020 onward with Toa Harada. She then graduated from Oha Suta on March 26, 2021.
