Toa Harada (原田都愛) is a singer, dancer, actress, and model under LDH. She is a former member of the girl group Girls2 and temporary group mirage2. She shares her name and appearance with her GaruGaku. counterpart, Toa.
Biography
Toa was born on April 2, 2005 in Kanagawa Prefecture. She is the youngest of her parents' two children and has an older brother. She is a graduate of EXPG Yokohama.
Etymology
Toa (都愛) uses the kanji 都 (To; Capital) and 愛 (Ai; Love).
Harada (原田) uses the kanji 原 (Hara; Original) and 田 (Da; Field).
Career
2017-2018: EXPG
Toa joined EXPG Yokohama in her sixth grade of elementary school[4] in 2017, having been first seen in articles and images around that time[5][6][7]. During her time at EXPG, it has been seen that she also took vocal lessons[8][9], and was a part of the kids section.[10] Additionally, she was a candidate for EXPG Lab, but did not make the cut.
Toa has also attended workshops with special guests like Erick Footman, even attending classes with one of Girls2's future dance instructors, ITO.[11] She also previously had performances with Rina Yamaguchi as they both attended EXPG Yokohama together.[12][13]
2018-2020: THE GIRLS AUDITION, Debut with Secret x Heroine Phantomirage!, mirage2, Debut with Girls2
While participating in LDH's THE GIRLS AUDITION in 2018 as a part of the actress category, Takeshi Miike told the contestants that whoever is a successful applicant in the acting category will receive a part in his works. After winning, Toa managed to get the role of Yotsuba Shizuki for Secret x Heroine Phantomirage!. Due to being a main cast member, she guested on children's shows such as Oha Suta.
Aside from acting in the show, Toa was a member of the idol unit they released through the series called mirage2. The group's activities lasted for a year until the end of the series.
On March 29th, 2019, it was announced that Toa became a member of the new unit "Girls2" formed from the Girls x Heroine series, a combination unit between 'miracle2', 'magical2' and 'mirage2'. Their debut took place on June 26 with the release "Daijoubu" which was the opening theme for the third season of the Girls x Heroine franchise, Secret x Warrior Phantomirage!.
Under the group, Toa and her teammates carried out more activities, such as modeling for several popular brands and having their own mini anime through Oha Suta, which Toa was the center for. Toa became an Oha Girl along with the members of mirage2 for the academic year of 2020-2021 and was the Monday Oha Girl along with Yoka Ogawa. She then graduated from Oha Suta on October 1, 2021.
2025: Graduation, GIRLS BATTLE AUDITION
On July 15, 2025, it was announced that Toa will be graduating from Girls2 at the end of August in order to take on new challenges. However, she remains as an artist under LDH. Toa graduated from the group on August 31.
On July 29, Toa announced that she would take part in the GIRLS BATTLE AUDITION, produced by E-girls member Harumi Sato.
