Rina Yamaguchi (山口莉愛) is a singer, dancer, actress, and model under LDH. She is a member of the girl group Laki and the former youngest member of the temporary group lovely2. She shares her name and appearance with her GaruGaku. 2 counterpart, Rina.
Biography[]
Rina was born on November 22, 2008 in Kanagawa Prefecture. She is the youngest of her parents' two children and has an older brother. She is a graduate of EXPG Yokohama.
Etymology[]
Rina (莉愛) uses the kanji 莉 (Ri; Jasmine), and 愛 (Ai; Love).
Yamaguchi (山口) uses the kanji 山 (Yama; Mountain), and 口 (Guchi; Mouth).
Career[]
2015-2018: EXPG, THE GIRLS AUDITION[]
It is assumed that she joined EXPG Yokohama sometime in 2015, having been first seen in articles and images around that time. [3][4][5][6] During her time at EXPG, it has been seen that she also took vocal lessons[7][8], as well as having performances with Toa Harada. [9][10] She has also been seen attending classes with ITO, a dance teacher who is often seen with Girls2.[11]
In 2018, Rina participated in magical2's "Mirumiru ~Mirai Mieru~" MV, where she was a backup dancer with EXPG Yokohama students. She participated in LDH's THE GIRLS AUDITION in the same year, which lead her to get the roles of Sarai in Secret x Heroine Phantomirage! and Sarai Shihara in Police x Heroine Lovepatrina!.
2019-2021: Acting Debut with Secret x Heroine Phantomirage!, Police x Heroine Lovepatrina!, lovely2[]
In 2019, Rina started off her acting career as Sarai in Secret x Heroine Phantomirage! as an antagonist.
Rina was announced as a cast member for Police x Heroine Lovepatrina! in early 2020. Due to being a main cast member, she guested on children's shows such as Oha Suta.
Aside from acting in the show, Rina was a member of the idol unit they released through the series called lovely2. The group's activities lasted for a year until the end of the series. Other than that, Rina and her teammates were featured in Girls2's songs and modeled for brands such as TEG TEG.
2021-2022: Debut with Lucky2[]
On June 13th, 2021, a special announcement was announced at lovely2's Special Live. It was revealed that there was going to be a new girl group, with Rina being one of the members. The group was announced to be called Lucky2, now known as Laki after their fourth anniversary in 2025, and their debut single, "Fun! Fun! Fun! ~Yume Mugendai~" was announced to be the first opening of Bittomo x Heroine Kirameki Powers!, the fifth season of the Girls x Heroine franchise.
It was revealed on June 21 that Rina was to appear as a guest in GaruGaku. Girls Garden.
On October 1st, Rina and her fellow members of Lucky2 were announced to be the next Oha Girls after the remaining members of Girls2 graduated. Additionally, they even had their own mini anime through Oha Suta. She was the Tuesday Oha Girl until their graduation on March 25th, 2022.
