Minami Hishida (菱田ミナミ) is one of the protagonists of GaruGaku. who is in the unit West2. Her character is based on Girls2 member Minami Hishida.
Biography []
Appearance[]
Minami wears a purple tie as well as a purple highlighted school jumper. Her skirt is dark blue which is also accented with purple highlights. Her long black hair is tied up like braids, and there are two purple hair accessories on her head. She has violet eyes.
For her summer uniform, Minami wears a short-sleeved white polo shirt with the same tie and skirt. Sometimes she can be seen with a sand-colored vest.
In the live action which takes place a year after the events of the anime, Minami now wears some of her hair in small twintails. Her uniform is a white polo long-sleeved shirt with the school's logo on the left side of her chest. She wears a pleated navy blue and green bow and also wears a navy blue plaid skirt with light blue lines. Her knee-length socks are white with the upper part black and she wears brown loafers.
Personality []
Minami is a person who likes seeing people smile. She is humorous and likes making jokes with Momoka, to see people smile. She is also the one who understands Momoka the best, which may hint that she is good at understanding people.
Minami is also seen to be quite mature despite her humorous side of her personality, often balancing Momoka.

Minami is a student at St. Girls Square Academy who is in the unit West2 alongside Momoka Sumitani.
Synopsis[]
First Appearance[]
Minami and Momoka went into the garden, meeting Toa. They introduced themselves due to Toa not knowing who they were. As A.I Minami and A.I Momoka cheer the both of them on, they do a skit where Momoka imitates a gorilla. This sends Toa, and the A.I's into laughter. As the girls happily explain that those smiles are why they perform, they begin to perform their song, Wacha x2, and garners a large crowd.
Summer Training Camp Arc[]
Minami is known to have passed the exams at school along with Momoka.
Minami and Momoka are in the changing rooms where Momoka proceeds to try on several outfits which annoys Minami. All the 3 units (East2, South2, West2) are shopping in the same store, but none of them cross paths with each other.
Minami was in the summer training camp with Momoka, South2, and East2.
Originally, South2 was meant to perform, but due to traffic issues, they were unable to come on time. Minami and Momoka perform instead, surprising everyone.
Girls Arena[]
The south2 members go up against east2 and west2 to stand on the Girls Arena. However, much to everyone’s shock, everyone draws with 19.99 points each. Though Misaki is initially shocked, she looks at the teacher wondering what decision is to be made. At that moment, Toa decides that they perform together instead, as one unit. Ultimately agreeing, the girls perform as Girls2 for the first time on the Girls Arena with “Centimeter”. Welcomed and loved by the audience who ask for an encore, they perform “Tsunagu Tsunagu”, Girls2 version of east2’s “Tsunagu”.
