Kurea Masuda (増田來亜) is a singer, dancer, actress, and model under LDH. She is a member of the girl group Girls2 and a former member of the temporary group magical2. She shares her name and appearance with her GaruGaku. counterpart, Kurea.
Biography[]
Kurea was born on August 19, 2003 in Miyazaki Prefecture. She is the oldest of her parents' two children and has one little sister. She is a graduate of EXPG Miyazaki.
Etymology[]
Kurea (來亜) uses the kanji 來(Kure; To Come After), and 亜 (A; Child).
Masuda (増田) uses the kanji 増 (Masu; Increase), and 田 (Da; Field)
Career[]
2014-2017: EXPG, KIZZY[]
In 2014, Kurea was a back-up dancer in SEAGAIA MUSIC RESORT 2014. In that same year, she was a back-up dancer in EXILE TRIBE PERFECT YEAR LIVE TOUR TOWER OF WISH 2014 ～THE REVOLUTION～.
Kurea was a back-up dancer in EXILE LIVE TOUR 2015 AMAZING WORLD. She was also a back-up dancer for Flare in "Suiheisen no Hanabi to Ongaku 5" from 2014 to 2015. Kurea was also a back-up dancer in Color Me Rad MIYAZAKI for JONTE' MOANING in 2015. In 2016, she was a back-up dancer for the E-girls LIVE TOUR 2016 ～E.G. SMILE～.
In 2015, she appeared in the MV "Himawari" for Flare's "Foot & Mouth Disease Song", the theme song for a charity event. She appeared in GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE's MV "Y.M.C.A" in 2017. Kurea appeared in FNS 27 Hours TV Chibikko Honki Dance Championship as a Miyazaki representative.
It is assumed that she joined EXPG Miyazaki sometime in 2015, having been first seen in articles and images around that time. Her last known activity at EXPG was on July 25, 2017.
Kurea was an extra in the movie Shinwa Kids in 2015.
Kurea was originally a member of E-girls Bunnies in 2016 before the group dissolved into EXPG Lab. She then joined KIZZY (Momoka, Yoka, and Kira were also members) in 2017 as one of it's starting line-up members but left afterwards.
2018-2019: Debut with Magical x Heroine MagimajoPures!, magical2[]
Kurea was announced to be part of the main cast for Magical x Heroine MagimajoPures! in August, 2018 as her character was introduced mid-season. Due to being a main cast member, she guested on children's shows such as Oha Suta.
Aside from acting in the show, Kurea was a member of the idol unit they released through the series called magical2. The group's activities lasted for a year until the end of the series.
2019-2020: Debut with Girls2, Misaki Kurea from Girls2, Go! GO! Atoms, Bittomo x Heroine Kirameki Powers![]
On March 29th, 2019, it was announced that Kurea became a member of the new unit "Girls2" formed from the Girls x Heroine franchise, a combination unit between 'miracle2', 'magical2' and 'mirage2'. Their debut took place on June 26 with the release "Daijoubu" which was the opening theme for the third season of the Girls x Heroine franchise, Secret x Warrior Phantomirage!.
Under the group, Kurea and her teammates carried out more activities, such as modeling for several popular brands and having their own mini anime through Oha Suta. Kurea was also an Oha Girl along with the other members of the group. She was the Thursday Oha Girl for the academic year of 2019-2020, but this was changed to Tuesday from 2020 onward. She then graduated from Oha Suta on March 26, 2021.
On October 7, 2019, Kurea was announced to form a duo group with fellow member Misaki Tsuruya. The duo appeared for the first time on the Monday broadcast of Oha Suta to perform the ending theme song "Friendship No.1" for the anime Puzzle & Dragons X as Misaki Kurea from Girls2.
In late March of 2020, it was announced that Kurea would voice an astronaut in Go! GO! Atoms.
On May 31, it was announced that Kurea would be a cast member of Bittomo x Heroine Kirameki Powers! as the Princess.
