GL² Family is the collective name for the idol groups created from the Girls x Heroine series. They belong to the joint management business "SL Square LLP." by LDH JAPAN and Sony Music Labels, there are currently 2 groups in the family. With the introduction of Lucky², the Fan Club site was changed to "GL² Family".
History[]
2019-2020: Formation[]
Girls2 were announced in March of 2019, a girls performance unit derived from the main cast of the Girls x Heroine series, Miracle Tunes, MagimajoPures and then airing Phantomirage. Making their official debut in June of that year, they would then continue to perform the opening themes for the series from Phantomirage to Lovepatrina. Originally an 8 member unit, upon the entry of 9th member Ran (after her official appearance in Phantomirage), "Girls2 Fanclub" was created.
The name originating from this fanclub, a subscription based website for Girls2 fans, allowed fans to receive special discounts for live events, blogs, videos and radio programs.
2021-2022: Birth of GL² Family[]
For 2 years, the website remained as Girls2 Fan club until August of 2021 after Lucky2 were announced. With this announcement, the fan club became "GL2 Family" ultimately categorizing the two units as sister units to each other.
In 2022, they went from 15 to 18 members upon the arrival of the new Lucky2 members, Ririka Uemura, Akari Mori and Kiki Sato.
